Was a perfect setting to celebrate a birthday. Very happy with everything and everyone.

For someone first time hiring a venue for a birthday party of 15 people, Phil and his team have been a lovely and relaxed experience. He provided details thoroughly and answered my many questions, and was flexible with some adjustments for dietary needs. I booked the back sunroof area which has a charming, floral atmosphere. The only dilemma was the booking site, TagVenue, was laid out in such a way that I selected a star review (unfortunately low) accidentally before the event. Despite of this mishap, the team treated me and my guests with consideration. If you're also trying to book a chill place for the first time for your event, I highly recommend the Purple Emerald; for reliability, good food, communication and all with affordable minimum expenditure. Archetypal Melbourne venue. Cool, slick and grungy all at the same time.

Came for a mates 30th celebration. Service staff are friendly. Food was a bit dry/ bland (from the limited items we tried) and the beer tap selection was limited (because they ran out of other options, but regardless still limited).

I celebrated my 21st birthday at this bar, and I must say it's truly exceptional. Phil's responsiveness added to the incredible night, and Hayley, our bartender, flawlessly catered to 30+ guests. Hosting my first event here made it the most memorable experience. Don't hesitate to choose this venue for your event – you won't be disappointed.
