Located midway between Brisbane and the Gold Coast, Yatala Pies has been a Queensland landmark for over 130 years. From humble beginnings, it now operates from modern premises near exit 38 of the M1 motorway, employing 75 staff. The bakery sells over 3,500 pies daily, including traditional meat, steak bacon cheese, steak and mushroom, steak and kidney, and chicken and vegetable varieties. Sweet pastries are also available. The shop features a drive-through for travelers and uses traditional ceramic pie ovens to bake its products.
