Yarrila Arts and Museum (YAM) is a vibrant cultural hub in Coffs Harbour, NSW, dedicated to illuminating the rich heritage and creativity of the Gumbaynggirr people. Situated within the innovative Yarrila Place, YAM features five exhibition spaces, including the permanent 'Yaamanga Around here,' which delves into the history and identity of the Coffs Coast through themes of place, community, and belonging. The museum also hosts dynamic rotating exhibitions spanning art, social history, and natural history. Visitors can explore the Gumbaynggirr Art Trail, featuring six artworks representing each clan group, and enjoy the 'Let them feel the light' sculpture by Emma Coulter. The YAM Shop offers a selection of original artworks, gifts, books, and boutique accessories created by local artists and designers. Guided tours are available for groups of various sizes and ages, including individuals, families, community groups, schools, and more. YAM is open Tuesday to Friday from 10 am to 4 pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 2 pm, and is closed on Mondays and all NSW Public Holidays.
