Nestled in Yamba, the Yamba Museum showcases the town's rich maritime heritage and cultural history. Visitors are welcomed by the Yaegl Cultural Garden, featuring a mosaic, two totems (dolphin and dingo), six Language Poles, and three Yarning Circles, all created in collaboration with the local Indigenous community. Exhibits include artifacts like the telescope of Francis Freeburn, Yamba's first pilot, a shark-bitten surfboard, and a mock schoolroom display. The museum also offers research services, access to an extensive photographic collection, and hosts changing exhibitions in the Old Kirk, a restored 1921 Presbyterian church. The Function Room, added in 2020, provides a bright space overlooking the golf course, suitable for various events. The museum is open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
