Nestled in the heart of Yamba, Main Beach offers a quintessential Australian coastal experience. The beach features a 33-meter ocean pool carved into the rocks at its southern end, providing a serene swimming environment. Overlooked by the iconic Pacific Hotel, the area exudes a charming, laid-back atmosphere. Home to one of New South Wales' oldest Surf Lifesaving clubs, the beach is patrolled on weekends and during school holidays between September and Easter. With well-considered disabled access, it caters to all visitors. The beach is slightly more nestled into the bay than neighboring Turners Beach, offering mellower swimming and surfing conditions, though the shore break can be heavy at times, particularly towards the northern end. As always, it's advisable to swim between the flags.
