Yalwal, located 30 kilometers southwest of Nowra, is a historic gold mining town now offering a serene retreat in an unspoiled wilderness. Visitors can enjoy bushwalking, canoeing, swimming, and cycling amidst abundant wildlife. The area features two large picnic spots and a historic cemetery. While camping is not permitted, the site is ideal for day trips. Please note, the water is not suitable for drinking, and no fires are allowed. Access to the Danjera Dam recreation area is currently closed due to upgrade works.
