Wooyung Nature Reserve, established in March 1999, spans 87 hectares along the far north coast of New South Wales. This secluded coastal haven features a long stretch of golden beach bordered by littoral rainforest and coastal wetlands. The name 'Wooyung' means 'slow' in the local Bundjalung language, reflecting the area's tranquil atmosphere.
