The Woolooga Solar Farm, located in Lower Wonga, Queensland, is a 214 MW photovoltaic power station that began construction in June 2021 and commenced commercial operations in late 2022. Spanning approximately 500 hectares, the facility generates around 438,000 MWh of clean energy annually, sufficient to power about 63,150 homes. This output contributes to offsetting over 350,400 metric tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions each year, equivalent to removing approximately 145,950 fuel-burning cars from the road. The project also includes a 200 MW/400 MWh Battery Energy Storage System, enhancing grid stability and energy reliability.
