Housed in the 1870 Woodend Court House, the Woodend & District Heritage Society offers a comprehensive archive of documents, maps, newspapers, and photographs from the former Shire of Newham and Woodend. The collection includes family and property records, digitized local newspapers, and indexed shire rate and minute books. Open every Wednesday from February to November, the Society provides a welcoming environment for researchers and history enthusiasts to explore the rich heritage of the region.
