Wonargo Revue

The Wonargo Revue, established in 1972, is a vibrant theatrical revue organized by Scouts Australia, Queensland Branch Inc., offering a dynamic training platform for youth members. This annual event showcases a two-hour musical variety show featuring a blend of music, singing, dance, and comedy, suitable for all ages. The production involves approximately 40 youth performers, aged 10 to 26, many of whom are new to the stage. Beyond performance, the revue emphasizes building self-confidence, teamwork, and dedication among participants, fostering a sense of community and personal growth. The event is entirely volunteer-driven, with around 90 volunteers contributing to various aspects such as lighting, sound, backstage operations, set construction, and costumes, ensuring a high-quality and enjoyable experience for both performers and audiences. The Wonargo Revue continues to be a cherished tradition, celebrating over five decades of music, fun, and laughter, and remains a testament to the enduring spirit of community and youth development.
