Wombat Creek State Conservation Area, established in January 2003, spans 1,077 hectares along the southern section of the Richmond Range. This protected area is part of a network of national parks, nature reserves, and state conservation areas in the region. Access to the reserve is restricted to protect its natural environment, ensuring the preservation of its unique flora and fauna.
