
Nestled in Blackwood, Wittunga Botanic Garden spans 13 hectares, showcasing water-wise plants from Australia and South Africa. The garden features brilliant displays of Ericas and Proteas in spring, along with extensive collections from Kangaroo Island and the Fleurieu Peninsula. Visitors can stroll around the lake, enjoying the diverse native bird and animal life attracted to the indigenous flora. The garden also includes a butterfly garden and a planting of grey box woodland, endangered in South Australia. Guided walks are available every Tuesday, departing from the Shepherds Hill Road car park.
