Willowie is a small town in South Australia's upper Mid North region, situated on the Wilmington–Ucolta Road between Wilmington and Orroroo. Established in 1878, it once featured churches, a hotel, and various shops. Today, the town is home to a memorial hall built in 1953, which houses stained glass windows commemorating World War I service members. The name "Willowie" is believed to derive from Aboriginal words meaning "green trees" and "water."
