The area is characterized by its vast open plains, heavily grassed with blue, barley, and other grasses, and abundant saltbush, making it ideal for cattle and sheep grazing. Noorama Creek and Widgeegoara Creek flow through the locality from the north-west (Cunnamulla) to the south (Noorama). The predominant land use is grazing of cattle and sheep.
