West Scottsdale is a rural locality in Tasmania's Dorset region, approximately 10 kilometers southwest of Scottsdale. The area is characterized by its agricultural landscape, with a population of 58 as of the 2016 census. The Brid River forms part of the eastern boundary, flowing through to the northeast. The C830 route, known as Sledge Track, enters from the southeast and runs north and east before exiting in the northeast.
