The purpose-built facility features four self-contained private rooms, spacious communal areas, and a wrap-around timber verandah overlooking lush greenery. Since its opening in 2015, the retreat has provided respite and end-of-life care for individuals with life-limiting illnesses, supported by registered nurses and trained volunteers. As the only adult community hospice in NSW, Wedgetail Retreat operates without government funding, relying on community donations to sustain its services.
