During the annual Rottnest Running Festival, water stations are strategically placed approximately every 2 kilometers along the marathon course, each staffed by dedicated army cadets. These stations offer water and Shotz electrolytes to keep runners hydrated. Additionally, Shotz gels are available every 10 kilometers to provide sustained energy. The marathon course is a four-lap circuit that encircles the island, showcasing its stunning scenery and diverse landscapes. The event is organized by the West Australian Marathon Club, with proceeds supporting the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
