Warwick, QLD

Located at 65 Albion Street in Warwick, Queensland, the Warwick RSL Sub Branch is the state's oldest continuous Sub-Branch, established on August 4, 1917. It serves approximately 140-150 members, including veterans from World War II to the present. The Sub-Branch is actively involved with local cadet units and the Warwick Light Horse Troop. It conducts memorial services at 17 district schools leading up to ANZAC Day and Remembrance Day, and supports local aged care centers with annual services and Christmas visits. Additionally, the Sub-Branch owns two independent living units for veterans and others who qualify. An annual reunion luncheon is held on the first Sunday after Remembrance Day, attracting over 80 members and their families. A quarterly 10-page newsletter provides members with news, DVA updates, and articles related to Australians in wartime.
