The Warrawong Community Centre, located at 9 Greene Street, Warrawong, NSW 2502, has been closed for early works as part of the Southern Suburbs Community Centre and Library project. This new facility, planned for the corner of King and Greene Streets, aims to serve the communities of Berkeley, Lake Heights, Cringila, Warrawong, Port Kembla, Primbee, and Windang. The design includes a large community hall with an adjoining kitchen, office spaces for centre management and community licensees, a sensory room, a changing place for people with disability, free public Wi-Fi, a café, and 'end of trip' facilities to encourage active transport. The project is expected to be completed in 2026.
