Waring Gardens

Waring Gardens, established in 1888 and named after Deniliquin's first Town Clerk, John Waring, is a cherished green space in the heart of Deniliquin. Visitors can feed ducks by the tranquil lagoon, relax under the shade of a giant Moreton Bay fig, or let children enjoy the enclosed playground. The gardens feature historic elements like the band rotunda and the creeper-covered fountain rotunda, adding to its charm. A footbridge enhances the scenic lagoon system that weaves through the town centre, and on the corner of Edwardes & Cressy Streets, you'll find the Three Muses—marble sculptures representing Art, Science, and Literature, originally crafted in Italy and restored in 1997.
