Nestled in Victoria's Mallee region, Walpeup Lake Camping Area offers a tranquil retreat for campers. Accessible via an unsealed gravel road, the site features picnic tables, solar-heated showers, and flushing toilets. While the lake was constructed from a swamp in the 1930s, it has since been reduced to a small 'fire dam' of fresh, untreated pipeline water, attracting local birdlife. The area is pet-friendly, allowing dogs under certain conditions. Please note, there is no drinking water available on-site; visitors should bring their own. Camping is by donation.
