Nestled in the heart of the Central Coast hinterland, Walkabout Wildlife Sanctuary spans 80 acres of natural bushland, offering a haven for rescued and endangered Australian wildlife. Visitors can encounter free-roaming kangaroos, wallabies, emus, and koalas, as well as unique species like the Tasmanian devil and the endangered bilby. The sanctuary also features ancient Aboriginal cultural sites, some dating back over 4,000 years, providing a rich cultural experience. Engage in interactive activities, learn about bush tucker, or relax at the visitor center with a cup of coffee. Overnight stays in eco-cabins or safari tents allow guests to experience the sanctuary's nocturnal wildlife. Open daily from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm, the sanctuary is dedicated to conservation through education, with all visitor fees supporting its mission.
