Wainui Feedlot, situated near Bowenville in Queensland's Darling Downs, is a state-of-the-art facility with an operating capacity of approximately 18,268 head of cattle. Established in 1985 by the North Australian Pastoral Company (NAPCo), it has evolved into one of Australia's most modern and efficient feedlots. The feedlot sources 90% of its cattle from NAPCo's extensive northern breeding properties, ensuring consistent quality. Rations are mixed on-site using grain processed through a state-of-the-art steam flaking feed mill. A 5,000-hectare dry-land and irrigated farming enterprise also operates on the property. Wainui Feedlot is integral to NAPCo's vertically integrated grainfed beef business, supplying both domestic and export markets.
