Held annually on the June long weekend, the Sussex Inlet Viking Festival celebrates the town's Scandinavian heritage and picturesque South Coast setting. The festival features a traditional Viking village with tents and fire pits, offering immersive experiences into Viking life, including re-enactments of battles and games. Live music spans two stages throughout the day, complemented by two Kids Zones with free rides and entertainment for all ticket holders. Over 40 food stalls provide a diverse culinary experience, while market stalls showcase handcrafted goods and Viking-inspired crafts. Cultural performances, such as axe juggling, firelight displays, and magic shows, add dynamic flair to the festival atmosphere. The event also honors the local Aboriginal community, sharing their culture as part of the festival.
