Urban Myth Theatre Company, established in 1981, was an award-winning youth theatre company based in Adelaide, South Australia. Over its 33-year history, it nurtured the talents of thousands of young people aged 7 to 27, offering a safe and well-resourced environment at The Goodwood Institute. The company provided unique workshops and production programs, with limited group sizes to ensure personalized attention. Urban Myth was praised for its creative work and commitment to the development of young artists. Its alumni include notable figures such as Kate Box, Sophie Hyde, Finegan Kruckemeyer, and Hugh Sheridan. In 2014, the company dissolved, but its legacy continues through SAYarts, a new organization focused on youth theatre.
