Originally the office building of the Evans Deakin Company at Rocklea, the Upper Community Hall was relocated to the Mount Gravatt Showgrounds in 1996. This unique, multi-room venue offers two separate hireable spaces: the larger Carson Room (20m x 10m) and the smaller Goebel Room (16m x 5m), accommodating up to 120 guests combined. The hall features polished timber floors, reverse cycle air conditioning, and a well-equipped kitchen with a gas cooktop, electric oven, double-door drinks fridge, and hot water urn. Toilets, including accessible facilities, are located within the building. Ideal for weddings, engagements, family celebrations, wakes, and large meetings, the venue provides a versatile setting for various events.
