University of Tasmania Stadium

Located in Launceston's Inveresk and York Park Precinct, University of Tasmania Stadium is a premier venue for Australian rules football and cricket. Established in 1921, it has a seating capacity of approximately 15,000. The stadium is home to the Hawthorn Football Club and hosts the northern home games of the Hobart Hurricanes. A $130 million redevelopment, jointly funded by the Australian and Tasmanian governments, is underway to enhance facilities and increase capacity to 17,500 by 2027. The venue also hosts various community events, contributing to the region's cultural and economic vibrancy.
