The Tropical Display Dome at Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha is a geodesic structure housing tropical plants from around the world. A circular pathway winds through the dome, passing a central pond with water lilies and native fish. Visitors encounter a variety of tropical species, including aroids, calatheas, heliconias, caladiums, palms, and epiphytes. The climate-controlled environment also supports tropical food crops like Indian arrowroot, African nutmeg, and cocoa. Open daily from 9am to 4pm, the dome offers a unique glimpse into diverse tropical ecosystems.
