Nestled along the South Esk River, Trevallyn Nature Recreation Area offers a diverse range of outdoor activities. Visitors can enjoy over 35 km of walking and mountain biking trails, including 7 km of purpose-built tracks developed with the Launceston Mountain Bike Club. The area also features facilities for archery, horse riding, rock climbing, and dog walking. During summer, Lake Trevallyn becomes a hub for swimming, canoeing, and water skiing. The reserve protects unique dry open grassy forests and supports a variety of native wildlife, making it a cherished natural oasis near Launceston.
