Originally constructed in 1887 as the Traveston Powder Magazine, it was relocated from Gympie in 1898 and transformed into a Soldiers' Memorial Hall in 1923. The hall features original brick and concrete structures, complemented by timber extensions added post-World War II. Inside, visitors can find honour boards commemorating local soldiers from World War I, World War II, and the Vietnam War, reflecting the community's deep respect for its history. The hall underwent extensive renovations and reopened in 2011, ensuring its continued role as a cherished community hub.
