Tinderry Nature Reserve

Tinderry Nature Reserve, established in January 1981, spans 14,711 hectares in the Southern Tablelands. Dominated by the towering granite monoliths of Tinderry and Tinderry Twin peaks, the reserve offers breathtaking views and diverse landscapes. The area is home to unique sub-alpine, montane, and coastal vegetation communities, supporting several threatened plant and animal species. Visitors can explore trails like the Tinderry Twin Peak via West Tinderry Trail, which provides a challenging hike with rewarding vistas. The reserve also features historical eucalyptus oil distilleries and associated hut sites, adding cultural significance to its natural beauty.
