Thousand Lakes Wilderness Lodge

Nestled in Tasmania's Central Plateau, Thousand Lakes Wilderness Lodge offers a serene retreat within the World Heritage Wilderness Area. The lodge, formerly Bernacchi Lodge, was transformed in 2016 into premium alpine accommodation. Guests can explore alpine tarns, walk the trails, or simply relax in the pristine environment. With no Wi-Fi and limited phone coverage, it's an ideal place to disconnect. The lodge features nine rooms, a communal lounge with a double fireplace, and a bar offering local beverages. Activities include fishing, hiking, and stargazing.
