Thompson Point

Thompson Point is a coastal locality in Queensland's Livingstone Shire, Australia, known for its rich history and natural beauty. Once the site of the short-lived town and port of Broadmount, it now offers a tranquil environment with a boat ramp and floating walkway at the southern end of Thompson Point Road, providing access to the Fitzroy River. The area is surrounded by scenic landscapes, including Mount Kilner and Broadmount, and is bounded by the Coral Sea to the east and the Fitzroy River to the south. Thompson Point is approximately 41 kilometers southeast of Rockhampton's central business district.
