Thompson Beach

Thompson Beach, located approximately 56 kilometers north of Adelaide, offers a tranquil coastal retreat along the eastern shore of Gulf St Vincent. This low-density residential area is renowned for its expansive tidal flats, making it a haven for fishing, crabbing, and leisurely beach walks. The beach's gradual incline allows visitors to wade out several hundred meters during low tide, providing ample space for crabbing. As part of the Adelaide International Bird Sanctuary National Park – Winaityinaityi Pangkara, Thompson Beach is a prime spot for birdwatching, especially during the migratory season.
