The Y Glenorchy, operated by the YMCA of Hobart Inc., has been a cornerstone of the Glenorchy community since 1984. This inclusive recreation centre offers programs for all ages, abilities, and backgrounds, including specific initiatives for youth, children, seniors, and individuals with additional needs. The facility also provides spaces available for community hire. In early 2024, The Y Glenorchy commenced a federally funded redevelopment project, which may cause temporary interruptions to regular programs and spaces. The centre remains committed to supporting the local community by continually evolving its services to meet changing needs.
