Nestled along the shores of Lake Somerset, The Spit offers a picturesque setting for outdoor enthusiasts. Visitors can enjoy picnics and barbecues in the designated areas, while children have fun at the playground. The double-lane public boat ramp facilitates easy access for both motorized and non-motorized watercraft, including electric and fuel-powered boats, sailing, jetskiing, wakeboarding, tubing, kayaking, canoeing, stand-up paddleboarding, and rowing. Swimming is permitted in designated areas marked with buoys. Fishing is allowed with a valid permit. Please note that The Spit operates daily from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm.
