The Pelican Playhouse, established in 1946, is a cherished community theatre in South Grafton, NSW. It offers a 96-seat auditorium with excellent acoustics, a comprehensive PA system, and a 3-phase lighting setup. The venue also features a licensed Pelican Lounge, providing a vibrant space for gatherings. In February 2022, the Playhouse was significantly impacted by flooding but continues to engage the community through alternative venues. A $1.3 million grant in May 2025 supports its restoration, aiming to revive this cultural hub for future performances and events.
