Perched on the wharf of the Sydney Flying Squadron in Kirribilli, The Flying Bear offers a unique dining experience with panoramic views of Careening Cove. Guests can watch the daily activities of a working waterfront and historic 18-footers launching for races. The café serves breakfast and lunch daily, featuring Australian favourites like smashed avocado on toast, bacon and egg rolls, and crumbed fish and chips, alongside healthy options such as the detox breakfast bowl and vegan falafel wrap. A pop-up bar operates over summer, offering a curated menu from the Foys kitchen, light bites, and hearty dishes perfect for sharing. Live music enhances the vibrant atmosphere on Sundays from 3 pm to 6 pm. The venue operates on a walk-in basis only, with opening hours from Monday to Sunday, 7 am to 3 pm, and the pop-up bar open Tuesday to Sunday, 3 pm to 8 pm. Public transport is encouraged, with Milson Point Train Station a 5-minute walk away and North Sydney Ferry Wharf an 8-minute walk away. Non-metered street parking is also available.
