Beseda, the Czechoslovak Australian Association of Canberra and Region, Inc., is a vibrant community hub dedicated to preserving and promoting the cultural heritage of the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Located at 12/18 Shropshire Street, Queanbeyan East NSW 2620, the association offers a range of activities, including cultural events, social gatherings, sporting events, and Czech and Slovak language classes for all ages and proficiency levels. The clubhouse features a library with over 2,000 Czech and Slovak books, a cozy reading room, and a hall equipped with a super-screen for film screenings and performances. Beseda also publishes a quarterly journal, "Beseda," and organizes exhibitions, talks, and outings to foster community engagement and cultural exchange.
