The Boite

The Boîte, located within the Abbotsford Convent at 1 St Heliers Street, Abbotsford VIC 3067, is Victoria's iconic multicultural music organisation. Since 1979, it has been dedicated to creating opportunities for culturally diverse music to contribute to a richer, more inclusive Australia. The Boîte supports artists from diverse communities, promoting cultural understanding through dynamic musical experiences, and nurtures creativity, collaboration, access to, and active participation in the arts. Through its prolific program of festivals, events, radio programs, and music releases, The Boîte has presented and promoted hundreds of excellent musicians born in over 100 different countries at over 5,000 events before audiences exceeding 800,000 and just as diverse.
