TasWriters, located at 24 Davey Street in Hobart, is a vibrant hub dedicated to fostering and promoting Tasmanian literature. As the state's premier writers' centre, it offers a range of services, including workshops, manuscript assessments, and a regular newsletter featuring competitions and opportunities. Members have access to a network connecting them with writers and groups statewide, such as Seasonal Poets and Republic Readings. The centre also hosts the biennial Hobart Writers Festival, celebrating local storytelling traditions. Operating on Mondays and Thursdays from 10 am to 2 pm, TasWriters welcomes all who share a passion for Tasmanian stories.
