Located near Taralga in New South Wales' Southern Tablelands, the Taralga Wind Farm comprises 51 turbines generating up to 107 MW of clean, renewable energy. Operational since 2015, it supplies power to approximately 38,000 homes annually, offsetting around 240,000 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions each year. The wind farm's 80-meter-high turbines are strategically placed on ridgelines east of Taralga, with the nearest turbine over 3 km from the village. The project also contributes to the local community through a Community Enhancement Fund, supporting sustainable initiatives within a 20 km radius.
