Taminda is an industrial suburb located in the western part of Tamworth, New South Wales. Predominantly zoned for industrial use, it has a low residential population. The northern area features flood plains utilized as sporting fields. In 1998, significant flooding impacted the region, leading to the construction of levy banks starting in 2006 to protect businesses from future floods. The suburb hosts various sporting facilities, including the Tamworth Race Club, Federation Park for football, Minor League Park for rugby league, and fields for netball, grass hockey, baseball, and softball.
