Talegalla Weir

Talegalla Weir is a tranquil locality in Queensland's Fraser Coast Region, covering approximately 50.7 square kilometers. As of the 2021 census, it has a population of 127 residents. The area is named after the Talegalla Weir, which spans Tinana Creek, a tributary of the Mary River. This weir is part of the Mary Basin Water Plan, supplying water for urban and agricultural use. The Teddington Weir Water Supply Scheme manages Tinana Creek, with Talegalla Weir providing additional storage. The locality is bordered by Tuan Forest to the north and east, Bauple Forest to the south, and Bauple to the southwest.
