
Taldra is a small settlement in South Australia's northeastern Murray Mallee region, near the Victorian border. The name "Taldra" translates to "kangaroo" in the local Aboriginal language. At the 2016 census, it had a population of 36 residents. The area is characterized by its agricultural landscape, with grain silos from the former railway station still present. The community is known for its commitment to renewable energy, with over 71 homes equipped with solar panels, collectively generating approximately 560 MWh annually.
