The TAFE Rural Centre of Excellence in East Toowoomba is a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to advancing agricultural education. Established in 2019, it offers over 25 courses in innovative and sustainable agriculture and horticulture practices. The centre features modern technologies, including a virtual reality room, a science lab, and a fully integrated vertical indoor farm. In 2023, a $1.1 million expansion introduced a specialized laboratory and a new Laboratory Skills course. Since its inception, more than 1,800 students have trained here, many securing roles in farming, veterinary practices, and horticulture.
