Established in 1927, Swansea Belmont Surf Life Saving Club is a community-driven organization dedicated to ensuring the safety of Blacksmiths Beach. With over 700 members, including approximately 170 active patrolling lifesavers, it stands as one of the largest clubs in the Hunter Branch of Surf Life Saving. The club offers a range of programs, such as the Nippers junior surf lifesaving program for children aged 5 to 14, and hosts events like the annual Across The Lake Swim and Kracka Ironperson. Its clubhouse, featuring stunning beach views, serves as a versatile venue for various functions.
