In December 2024, the Swan Hill Rural City Council signed a sub-lease agreement with the Skid City Consortium, marking a new chapter for the venue. The consortium, led by Mark Humphrey and Alec Berias, has initiated restoration works to rehabilitate the drag racing surface, aiming to have the track operational by October 2025. This revitalization is set to bring back quarter-mile drag racing to Victoria, with events sanctioned by the Australian National Drag Racing Association (ANDRA).
