Southern Brass, formerly known as Sutherland Shire Brass, is a vibrant community brass band based in Sutherland, NSW. Established in the late 1940s as the St George District Band, it has a rich history of musical performance and has secured numerous championships over the years. The band rehearses on Monday nights from 8pm to 10pm at 77 Eton Street, Sutherland. In addition to the main ensemble, Southern Brass also runs the Southern Youth Concert Band, offering young musicians an opportunity to develop their skills in a supportive environment.
