The Sunshine Beach Lifeguard Tower, situated at Belmore Terrace in Sunshine Beach, Queensland, serves as a vital component of the Sunshine Beach Surf Life Saving Club. Established in the 1980/81 season, the club is among the youngest in Australia, dedicated to ensuring the safety of beachgoers. Volunteer lifesavers patrol the beach every weekend and on public holidays from the September school holidays until the last weekend in April, with extended hours during the busy Christmas period. Lifeguards oversee the beach at all other times, maintaining a vigilant presence to protect swimmers and surfers.
